We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Global Solution Consultant to join our team in Germany.

Supporting our customers in driving their Business and IT agenda and helping them remain creative and competitive is our primary goal. We aim to achieve that by fostering trusted and influential relationships with CIOs and other senior executives on strategic approaches and industry specific outcomes that VMware software and solutions can generate.

You will be in a high impact pre-sales position responsible for ensuring pervasive adoption of VMware Software and Services, and closing enterprise transactions within a small number of global companies.

The role has a high percentage of customer-facing time and You will collaborate very closely with the Global Account Manager (GAM) and coordinate sales approach with VMware’s extended sales team, composed by Internal Sales Rep (iGAM), pre-sales specialists, professional services and the products business units.

The preferred candidate is a professional passionate about customer success with experience to translate customer business requirements into capabilities that can be delivered with the VMware solutions and qualify how this can provide business benefit and value.


  • Become a trusted advisor to executives and senior management within the respective
    Global Account
  • Understand the customer’s business strategy and challenges
  • Understand market trends in the customer’s vertical
  • Understand the customer’s IT strategy and programs and how the relate to the desired business outcomes
  • Match VMware’s solutions to customer’s business and IT requirements
  • Focus on customer value, building business cases including ROI and TCO analysis
  • Present and demonstrate VMware value propositions and solutions to customers and partners
  • Define and execute go-to-market strategies for the respective accounts to ensure adoption of VMware solutions
  • Present VMware vision, strategy and solution roadmaps to executives and senior management
  • Orchestrate and drive the end-to-end pre-sales engagement with our customer, including strong collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders


  • Pre-Sales experience within an enterprise software organization or one of the larger consulting companies
  • Strong customer-facing and relationship building skills to include senior and/or executive levels.
  • Solid enterprise solution selling experience
  • Ability to collaborate with and motivate multiple groups on an international basis toward accomplishing a goal
  • Charismatic personality with consultative selling acumen and business awareness.
  • Ability to see and present "the big picture" and offer technology solutions to drive value
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Engaging presentation skills
  • Ability to travel, both locally and internationally
