We are developing business-critical services used across the whole corporation. The DevOps/automation team provides GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira, Confluence as a service to over 10,000 internal customers. Automating these services is vital in order to support the scale and speed of change required at Dell EMC.

From the candidates we expect experience with capturing business and technical requirements, diligence in keeping multiple informational systems up to date, understanding ways of thinking of different parties (like system support engineers, software developers, testers etc.) and “can-do” view on the challenges. Spoken English is essential as our team is distributed across multiple countries. The successful candidate will take the responsibility for managing tools as a service, enhancing these tools, increasing automation usage to simplify support, keeping a good quality of service, enabling fast resolutions in case of issues, and working with the customers. This person will work in close collaboration with local and remote management, and with peer teams to drive new solutions. The person also will be acting as a people manager of a local engineering team, setting up local development processes and practices to grow individuals professionally and lead the team to success.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

·Day to day support for the local IEO employees

·Maintain transparency for the team’s work

·Regular communication to stakeholders

·Maintain multiple projects (tool as a service) in parallel, define plans and drive them to resolution.

·Flexibility to adapt plans due to business-critical requests

·Communicate to peer teams and work on external dependency resolution

·Support high quality services

·Be innovative; prepare and update roadmap for future enhancements. Work as a product owner representative in the team

·Establish best agile practices and processes for the team and drive their execution

Required Competencies

·Proven DevOps experience

·Experience in customer support activities

·Experience of leading/managing DevOps team

·Good knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools to support them (GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins, Atlassian stack)

·Passionate to automate DevOps processes, experience with some of the following technologies: groovy (Jenkins pipeline), Python, Puppet, Ansible, Kubernetes, ELK

·Great communication skills, fluent English sufficient to lead international discussions

·Experience working in remote virtual environments is a plus.

·Knowledge about cloud systems is a plus.
