Delivery Lead, Software Engineer.

The Delivery Lead combines experience in IT with leadership and motivational skills to create a positive working experience in multidiscipline team and an excellent service for our customers. 

The Delivery Lead is accountable for the development and performance management of the team. Responsible for ensuring high level of customer satisfaction, upskilling of team members and driving operational metrics to excellence.

Delivery Lead is an IT professional responsible for setting, prioritizing, and evaluating the work generated by a software Scrum team in order to ensure impeccable features and functionality of the product.

Delivery Lead duties and responsibilities

•      Take lead of scrum teams as the Product Owner

•      Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements 

•      Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on

•      Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product

•      Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy

•      Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories

•      Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI

•      Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities

•      Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals

•      Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product

•      Lead and manage agile and multidiscipline teams. 

•      Proactively create and drive initiatives for service improvement 

•      Ensure that the team has the correct actions in place to correct under-performance or drive further improvement                

•      Help resolve/monitor customer escalations as appropriate

•      Manage teams with or without direct authority. 


Participates in product development in all stages from planning and design to development, testing and documentation. 


Monitors and controls solutions processes and implements system security to provide stable and secure systems platforms. 

Assists with the implementation of new or additional solution technology to improve services, both locally and remotely.

Principal Accountabilities

Provides full design, planning, configuration, documentation, deployment and top-level support ownership of solution technologies. Identifies design requirements and makes recommendations for capacity planning, performance optimization and future direction.

Designs solutions per business requirements. 

Collaborates on and implements architecture recommendations to application integration, system administration, problem management, preventive maintenance, performance tuning. 

Manages or utilizes software that is built and implemented as a product, using best-in-class development process/lifecycle management (ex: Agile). 

Gathers business requirements and participates in product definition and feature prioritization, including customer usability studies. 

Performs competitive analysis for features at a product level scope. 

Creates technical documentation of software products/solutions. 

Assists with the development and review of end user and technical end user documentation. 

Drives idea generation for new software products, or for the next version of an existing product. Protects Intellectual property by working appropriate legal elements (ex: procurement, patents, open source).

Responsible for the delivery of products within budget, schedule and quality guidelines. 

Works with the team to develop, maintain, and communicate current development schedules, timelines and development status. 

Reviews requirements, specifications and designs to assure product quality; develops and implements plans and tests for product quality or performance assurance.


Education and Experience

Typically requires 9+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience
