As Principal Software Engineer with our Dell Quality Engineering Group you will be involved in a fast paced and highly technical environment. Your role is to develop, test and deploy application functionality. You will be directly responsible for ensuring the software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. You will work with various development and business teams and be exposed to many different cutting-edge technologies.
Own a client business problem and translate into business and application architecture
Create and review effort and resource estimates for feature definition
Mentor technical leaders and staff in process, software design principles, and technologies
Effectively communicate business issues and needs at a senior leadership level and how technology supports those requirements
Successfully communicate conceptual ideas and design rationales
8 years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years with a Master’s degree, experience to include:
Experience in software development or software test engineering
Experience communicating highly technical problems with high and low-level details
Experience prioritizing and managing work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
Developing new approaches to complex design problems
Organized, have an eye for detail, and be able to put ideas into a tangible form
Bachelor's degree in or computer science or related field
Advanced level of hands-on .NET development and knowledge
Experience in SQL design and coding
