The Strategic SD-WAN Partner Marketing Manager willbe responsibleforplanning, execution and measuring joint go-to-market programswith strategic technology partners at theVeloCloudBU at VMware. Theoverall objectiveof this role isto generate/increase awareness, develop region and vertical specific strategies, and accelerate the adoption of joint solutions. The role entailsforging cross-functional relationshipswithin the BU and the broader VMware alliance teams and interfacing with strategic partners and teams around the world. 

Examples of strategic technology partners include (but are not limited to) Intel, CheckPoint, Palo Alto Networks, andZscaler

The position is located at our headquarters in Palo Alto, CA

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will

  • Manage strategic technology partner marketing relationships

  • Collaborate with partners, and internally with product marketing, product management, sales, marketing and VMware alliance teams on the joint go-to-market programsincluding coordinating collateral development, demos, joint webinars, blogs, social media plans, and events

  • Strategize and plan with each strategic partner and ensure we execute to that plan to grow business. This entails leading cadence (bi-weekly) calls with each strategic partner, prioritizing actions and work with other functional teams to execute and report on it

  • Create assets associated with joint solutions/programs and disseminate to field and other stakeholders (e.g., pitch decks, data sheets, solution briefs)This will involve understanding the joint value proposition, ensuring thatthe SD-WAN message is updated and clearly articulated and always up to date

  • Develop metrics and report periodically on the status/success of each strategic partner engagement- global and regional KPI, and cadence of activities 

  • Engage with VMware alliance teams to leverage broader strategic programs and resources for maximizing SD-WAN business,

  • Drive cadence of strategy/review meetings with all stakeholderssuch as quarterly business reviews

  • Track strategic partner marketing budgetsandreportactuals spend versus budgetson a periodic basis

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 -7 years of technology marketing and/or alliance/partner marketing

  • Exceptional written and verbal skills and proficiency in O365 applications

  • Ability to lead internal and external cross functional teams

  • Self drivenand excellent project management skills

  • “Roll up sleeves” and “do whatittakes” attitude

  • Ability to travel to meetings and events

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
