Provides presales technical expertise for the development and implementation of HPC products/applications/solutions. Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through application benchmarks and product demonstrations. Provides technical input into bid proposals, projects and technical documents within the sales process. Assists in assessing application profiles and optimizing applications for customers on company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions
Supports field sales teams and large customer opportunities.
Understands and runs benchmarks on customer HPC applications optimizing to achieve best result.
Focuses on specific client or enterprise technologies as they relate to Dell solution offerings.
Assists in selling activities and positioning of assigned technologies.
Provides in-depth expertise for assigned technologies and associated Dell products.
Delivers technical presentations to sales teams with the purpose of increasing the knowledge base to describe achieved benchmark results. Delivers technical presentations to customers to act as a technical expert and consultant to deliver solutions.
May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions.
May demonstrate feasibility of a technology or a solution, often requiring a product demo for client.
Maintains up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of Dell’s and competitors' products and/or services.
Focuses majority of time a group of clients/enterprise technology area
Responsible for supporting multiple clients/enterprise solution sales efforts through consultative selling activities and presenting to external customers
Work is guided by business plans for the discipline
Manages critical projects, customer engagements or business processes Allocates work and mentors other
In-depth disciplinary knowledge of HPC application.
Understanding of application like WRF, GROMACS, NAMD and/or other research applications Provides deep subject matter expertise, advice and program delivery
Contributes to the development of new techniques and plans within area of expertise
Thorough understanding and management of customer business needs and expectations Typically requires 11+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
