Responsible for a set of products and services, they get to know their portfolio inside and out. Our Inside Sales teams rely on them for technical advice during the sales process. They directly advise customers on everything from product features and configurations, through to pricing and availability. Crucially, however complex the question, they’re ready to deliver technical solutions to meet customers’ needs via phone, chat, web or email.

Key Responsibilities

• Viewed as a trusted business advisor to the customer and uses in-depth knowledge of Dell’s technology, products and services to help customers formulate direction.

• Utilizes strategic probing to identify, evaluate, and recommend alternative business solutions.

• Analyzes multiple market factors to both anticipate/identify customer problems/needs and recommends appropriate solution.

• Engages cross-functional resources, regardless of geographic location, in order to achieve goal/ meet customer needs.

• Effectively balances demands from multiple stakeholders.

• Effectively balances short term and long term priorities.

• Develops and implements account plans that drive the attainment of critical business objectives.

• Involved in contract negotiation and possesses strong financial business and pricing knowledge


Essential Requirements

  • 3-5 yrs of relevant experience
  • Demonstrates sales capability by building strategic selling skills, executing business plans to enhance customer and Dell success, and consistently achieving strong attainment results
  • Developing ability to provide total solutions working across segments to achieve results
  • Intermediate understanding of a number of different industries and how businesses operate


Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience selling in the Federal Government marketplace
  • Previous consultative experience within a Sales organization
