Senior Cyber Security Advisor

Our IT Security team supports our customers with security infrastructure design, operation and support. As well as planning and installing network security systems, we investigate vulnerabilities and incidents relating to firewalls and systems to provide a timely response to security alerts.
· Manage all customer situations in a professional manner with emphasis on customer satisfaction
·Handle clients' requests and questions received via phone, e-mail, or an internal ticketing system in a timely and detail-oriented fashion in order to resolve a multitude of information security related situations
·Provide developmental and technical feedback to SOC personnel
·Participate in internal planning sessions and provide feedback for service enhancements, leading these projects in many cases
·Improving SOC workflow and processes
Knowledge, understanding, and practical experience in the following areas:
·Excellent customer service and client satisfaction
·Strong passion for learning new technology and concepts quickly
·Linux/Unix and Windows operating system navigation and administration, working from the command line
·Networking protocols and services
·Identifying exploits, vulnerabilities, and network attacks
·Packet analysis, and related tools (tcpdump, Wireshark, ngrep, etc.)
·Advanced regular expressions
·Handle escalations from team and management
·Database queries and structures
·Highly professional communication (written and verbal), teamwork and customer service skills --Attention to detail and great organizational skills
·Problem solving, and ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
·Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with peers, across teams, and with management
·Ability to understand and follow incident response procedures and take direction in a fast-paced environment.
·Deep understanding of the Counter Threat Platform; event flow, architecture, advanced engines, detection methods, filters, MPLE and service delivery
·Completion of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Network Security, Information Security, Information Technology, or Mathematics (or equivalent work experience within Cyber Security/Information Security)
GSEC, SPLUNK User, SPLUNK Power User, WireShark Certified Network Analyst, GSEC, GCIA, GPEN, GWAPT, GCIH, GSEC, OSCP, OSCE, OSCP, or similar certifications
