The Data Protection Software Control Plane Engineering organization delivers easy to use next-generation software user experience for a changing world. Working on the cutting edge, we design and develop user experiences for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools and software engineering methodologies.  We have an opportunity in our Hopkinton office for an Engineering Manager to build a dynamic and productive team for this organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day management/technical/mentoring expertise for a team 10+ software engineers with varying level of experience in a Scrum environment
  • Work with individual team members to determine strengths and the areas of development for current and future career growth
  • Support the Scrum Master in dealing with impediments beyond the scope of the team
  • Provide stability, leading communication and driving engagement to ensure successful organizational changes
  • Actively communicate information from leadership, ensuring common understanding of strategy, direction and objectives to team and amongst all stakeholders, fostering transparency and listening to individuals of the team
  • Collaborate with cross functional and cross Geo teams to provide technical leadership and provide product backlog dependency management
  • Facilitate and participate in communities of practice and working with other engineering managers to advance engineering practices across the organization (includes tool changes, tweaks to engineering process, etc.)

Essential Requirements

  • Experience within, and strong knowledge of, Data Protection industry
  • Web Development experience
  • User Experience Design and knowledge of UX design principals (Wireframes, user testing, setting UI/UX design standards)
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies including Scrum development
  • Experience with Angular programming
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to fast pace engineering environment
  • BS in Computer Science or related field plus 8+ years relevant experience; must include 2+ years in a management/lead role

Desirable Skills/Knowledge

  • Scrum at scale, micro service architecture, continuous development and integration pipelines
