The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.


Key Responsibilities

·Involved in Qualification of Dell/EMC VMAX and PowerMax All Flash Storage Arrays.

·Test Planning, Test Case Design, Test Automation

·Team member to design, develop, document, implement, and execute automation tests for our high end storage platform  This includes writing/debugging test cases in Perl, Python within our test frame infrastructures.

·Test development and automation of test cases requiring constant interaction with both product developers, automation and test engineers.  Debugging and failure analysis are a must for the successful candidate.

·Identifying defects in early stages by providing debug information, thereby enabling developers to  identify the root cause of the issue.

·The candidate should exhibit ability to quickly adapt to the Qualification Test Process and learn new and complex topics.

·Concentration will be on disaster recovery solutions, remote replication technologies and Fibre & Etheret protocols.


Essential Requirements

·Exposure to and familiarity with test automation procedures

·Software development expertise from a coding perspective. This is required for building test automation. Contribute to test automation activities through knowledge of coding/programming in current languages.

·Strong test automation knowledge in Perl and/or Python on Linux, UNIX and/or Windows operating system platforms

·Effective verbal and written communication skills

·Proven ability to deliver quality portable Perl and Python

·Ability to write detailed technical documents including test plans, functional specifications

·

·Desirable Requirements

·General knowledge of one mainstream language, (preferred proficiency in C, C++, or JAVA).

·BSEE, BSCE, or BSCS. 2-5 yrs minimum experience required, preferably in Storage and Software testing

·Knowledge on basics of Storage/System/Network domain would be an added advantage.

·Experience working in remote/virtual teams

·General knowledge of Enterprise Storage Software is desired

·Client/Server testing experience welcomed

·VMware experience is desirable

·Working knowledge of software IDEs and debugging tools

·Knowledge of computer system performance analysis and measurement
