A unique opportunity for an individual who aspires to become and influential leader.   The PFT Lead role affords visibility and exposure with the executive leadership of Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) by being the single point of accountability for all of Platform Systems Engineering (PSE) as we engage with the product lines.  You will be expected be the voice and face of PSE in many external engagements.  You will be presenting and responding at various executive forums in addition to the working group forums to ensure alignment of all Platform Systems Engineering (PSE) deliverables targeted for our NPI product releases and in-market products.   In this role you will also lead a team of multiple subject matter expert that make up the virtual PFT.

Accountabilities

  • Single and primary point of contact with the product group stakeholders and PSE on all activities ranging from NPI programs to in-market products
  • Drive and communicate priorities within all PSE functional groups in alignment to those of the product group
  • Drive NPI program deliverables across PHE/PSS/DSME and IEO to align with NPI program release requirements per OLP
  • Lead crisp executive and senior leadership communications to drive decisions and status
  • Interface with all functional organizations such as manufacturing, GAME, GSCE, GSQE and PLP in driving deliverables aligned to the priorities of the product group
  • Frequent interface and be the face of PSE at high profile executive forums such as Executive Program Reviews (EPRs)
  • Establish a deep understanding of all aspects of the Business Unit needs
  • Responsible for designing the structure of the product focused team as well as leading the team
  • Authority on Business Unit related system and program level decisions; owns every aspect of the Platform Systems Engineering (PSE) solution and delivery

  • Ability to influence others to achieve results, effective negotiating skills to drive strategic decisions through difficult discussions
  • Ability to foresee and formulate required steps by internal and external stakeholder and unblock issues in the way of program progress.
  • Ability to independently drive strategic activity with very limited oversight
  • Appetite to lead, be the focal point and the go-to person
  • Clear concise and crisp communications
  • 10+ year professional experience + Bachelors degree
