The Business Planning and Operations organization supports a highly valuable Data Protection business. The organization’s charter is to accelerate financial performance and share gains by driving the E2E strategic business growth direction and product and sales enablement to better position a modern data-first protection portfolio so that customers unlock the value of their most important asset – information.

As a Global Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy lead, you'll be part of a team that supports, partners and guides our Product Management & sales teams by working cross-functionally to craft effective GTM plans for global priority and product areas. As an experienced go-to-market expert you will lead, create and refine elements of GTM strategy such as segmentation, value proposition, targeting, pricing and bundling, and sales enablement and channel strategy, etc.

You will be responsible for developing go-to-market (GTM) strategies for priority products and segments and for project managing specific, cross-functional initiatives to accelerate sales. As part of the role, you will develop relationships with top-level Data Protection executives and work cross-functionally across sales, marketing, channel, and product. You will also track and analyze the impact of the initiatives you are driving.

Ideal candidates will have senior executive presence, excellent relationship building skills, strategic and analytical mindsets, and strong organizational skills to drive projects to completion. Furthermore, candidates should serve as thought leaders for our Data Protection Sales Leaders, proactively pursuing activities that will drive the highest impact on the annual operating plan.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define GTM Strategy for priority product, segment and operational opportunities and align it to the Data Protection product & strategic vision
  • Conduct analysis to provide insight into the business’ health and prioritize strategic opportunities accordingly
  • Partner and guide product management, sales, regional leads and key stakeholders to build and execute highly effective GTM strategies that align to product roadmap/competitive differentiators
  • Create and drive Data Protection business growth through innovative, high-impact programs that increase customer satisfaction, drive revenue and maintain retention objectives.
  • Work cross-functionally across sales, marketing, channel, product and other departments to achieve accelerated results
  • Develop and manage relationships with top-level sr. executives and stakeholders across the Data Protection portfolio along with sales leadership
  • Develop the GTM Strategy based on the customer, business goals and customer. Work cross-functionally to define measurable objectives, Strategy and deliverables, determine the omnichannel approach and identify the appropriate media mix and messaging to bring these to life for the customer
  • Oversee development and delivery of GTM Strategy and plans for short- and long-range planning purposes, constantly reporting on metrics and driving transformation by leveraging data.
  • Oversee the creation of integrated plans across all channels and functions focusing on a seamless customer experience. Requires strong leadership, strategic vision, a focus on tactical integration and measurable results.
  • Own annual brand storytelling strategy, clearly defining messaging and timing. Define communication hierarchy and implementation with cross functional teams integrating promotional and enterprise promotional Strategy to drive sales and traffic
  • Develop the GTM Strategy based on the customer, business goals and customer. Work cross-functionally to define measurable objectives, Strategy and deliverables, determine the omnichannel approach and identify the appropriate media mix and messaging to bring these to life for the customer Develop, drive, and measure the impact of specific cross-functional GTM initiatives aligned to the DP Annual Operating Plan

Essential Requirements:

  • 10 – 12+ plus years of relevant work experience with demonstrated leadership in product marketing, go-to-market and/or technical sales.
  • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred – background in sales, technical sales, technical product marketing, product growth and/or business development role
  • Experience includes senior level management experience with strengths in strategy to execution, influencing GTM design, cross-functional implementation in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Ability to work towards strategic goals in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Effective communication, consultation and technical skills with expertise in cloud technologies.
  • Experience building lasting relationships
  • Desirable experiences:
  • Domain expertise: Storage, Servers, Security or Data Protection
  • Expert knowledge across multiple Dell functions, tools and processes
  • MBA preferred, Master's degree or PhD in a Management, Technical or Engineering field.
