Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and managing the ODB environment that serves production, reporting, training, test\non-production, and Disaster Recovery.
  • Managing the logins for different types of access, including login behavior and working environment configuration.
  • Caché and Epic upgrades and updates to production and non‐production environments.
  • Managing the logins for different types of access, including login behavior and working environment configuration.
  • Configuring and maintaining environment copies according to the environment strategy.
  • Writing and maintaining scripts to improve system management tasks.
  • Participating in your change control process for all planned application and technical activities.
  • Maintaining and testing processes related to business continuity.
  • Following vendor and Epic best practices for hardware and software configuration.
  • Installing and maintaining the administrative and monitoring tools necessary for high levels of availability and performance of your Epic system.
  • Responding to emergency and after‐hours issues.
  • Participating in your change control process for all planned application and technical activities.

Must Have Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of Cache Engineering experience
  • Epic upgrades experience
  • Expereince maintaining and testing processes related to business continuity in enterprise environments
  • Strong Unix skills, using the command line in lieu of a GUI (Graphical User Interface)
  • Solid understanding of operating system concepts such as user and group ownership and file permissions, file system/volume group configuration, etc.
  • Knowledge of a command shell (Korn, POSIX, Bourne, or C), plus languages and utilities such as AWK, SED, and Perl.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous Healthcare Industry expereince
  • Advanced Degrees in Computer Science or Information Technology
