When you're creating technology that drives human progress, everything needs to be spot on. Our Supplier Process Engineering team works with our suppliers to enable them to produce materials and components of the highest quality. Working closely with our product developers, we select and monitor vendors and suppliers who can meet our high engineering and quality standards. In addition, we perform regular auditing and undertake design and development engineering assignments to develop new products or update existing products. We’re also experts in establishing systems and procedures to enhance overall quality.

Key Responsibilities

-Works under supervision with established direction to assist in the evaluation of the supplier / vendor performance and provides feedback to senior team members

-Manages tactical execution of improvement programs

-Assists supplier / vendors on the execution of quality tool, methodologies and requirements

-Participates in quality improvement processes ensuring quality goals and expectations are met

-Assist in the implementation of effective structure and program at supplier manufacturing facility to support internal expectations

-Assist sustaining groups and core team members in resolving quality metrics

-Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope

-Drive quality initiatives with suppliers / vendors; as well as numerous organizations internal to Dell

Essential Requirements

-Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

-Solid engineering discipline and manufacturing process knowledge

-Solid quality system, process auditor, and problem solving skills

-Knowledge of statistical quality tools

-Ability to multitask and work independently

-2+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent experience

Desirable Requirements

-Working knowledge of various Dell internal quality, tracking, and product release processes
