Analyze business and finance problems to improve computer systems. Design systems and procedures to promote work simplification, and prepare operations procedures to improve work flow and operate more efficiently and effectively. Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards, and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems and organizational changes. Provide staff and users with assistance solving systems problems, such as malfunctions and program problems. Confer with IT on ongoing cross-functional key projects and enhancements to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems and procedures. Act as subject matter expert for all Finance track with primary focus on ITC cross-functional projects.  Analyze data on and define requirements, prepare business requirement documents (BRDs), develop test trackers, and coordinate business user testing to facilitate business system improvements. Work closely with Business and IT Finance Support teams on operational issues as part of the Close process. Participate in capacity requirements planning (CRP) and user acceptance testing (UAT) for various projects to compare actual with expected results, and liaise with IT to resolve bug fixes. Recommend internal processes and audit procedures to ensure Finance SOX controls compliance and data integrity of systems post go-live. Apply knowledge of information management and analysis best practices, procedures and technologies to the improvement and design of VMware business systems. In connection with the above duties, apply knowledge and/or skills of: Java/JavaScript; Python, Perl or a similar scripting language (like Shell); SQL; HTML; Unix/Linux/Windows; and Cloud Technologies.
