Sales Training Advisor – Japan Consumer

Role Overview:

As Technical Training Advisor supporting the Consumer and Small Business Sales organizations, you will deliver Dell training programs to Consumer and Small Business sales teams. You will work closely with sales leaders to ensure trainings are aligned with the objectives of the sales organizations. You will also work closely with peers on the training delivery team and instructional design team to learn and deliver training programs aligned with Dell strategy. This position reports to the Consumer and Small Business Sr. Training Manager in Global Sales Learning and Development’s Field Sales Enablement Team.

Role responsibilities:

  • Train Japan language and culture to Consumer Dalian, China sales representatives
  • Responsible for the delivery of sales training; new hire onboarding, selling skills for inside sales
  • Ensure trainings are aligned with local business objectives and developmental needs of sales teams.
  • Conducts training in classroom
  • Provide on-going consultation on selling skills and culture training
  • Training effectiveness performance review
  • Maintain records of training to provide accurate information.
  • Ability to work alongside cross functional teams and trainers with content design
  • Instruct participants in classroom and/or group sessions
  • Develop programs and practices to identify developmental needs
  • Prepare curriculums including method, media, and documentation to be presented
  • Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Use professional concepts and company policies to solve routine problems
  • Implement methods for evaluation of program effectiveness, evaluate the delivery of training, modify program based on feedback
  • Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors, exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

Role Requirements:

  • Must have both the necessary technical knowledge and the real-world experience in the subject matter they are assigned to train
  • Experience teaching, coaching, and/or facilitating in a professional environment
  • Demonstrated ability to apply adult education principals and theory
  • Training measurement/evaluation skills
  • Instructional and facilitation skills - Solution Selling skills
  • Ability to design basic training modules
  • Facilitation skills & Presentation skills
  • Needs assessment/ Diagnostic skills
  • Consulting skills
  • Knowledge of advanced PC software and spreadsheet applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic written or oral English language skills

Preferences:

  • Minimum Degree and 2-4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Understanding of, and experience in, the IT industry
  • Knowledge of Dell
  • Sales experience or experience working with sales team members
