Job Summary:

Responsible for financial support activities as well as resolves issues and inquiries from both internal and external customers. Performs a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical/finance functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax or related financial area. Reconciles bank accounts, posts information, balances general or subsidiary ledgers, processes payments and compiles segments of monthly closings and annual reports. Runs various financial reports to provide to team and/or leadership. Legacy Dell - Prepares income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting statements and reports. Analyzes financial reports and records, making recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, liabilities, revenue and expenditures. Prepares, reviews, and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records and Account Reconciliations. Develops or recommends accounting methods and procedures. Implements controls and evaluates actions required to ensure compliance with the company’s accounting policies and policies. Performs regular and special analysis to ensure accuracy and proper accounting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact within Accounting for support of the attributes within SAP master data that impact Accounting and Finance

  • Serve as project manager/mediator for rules definition/validation with business stakeholders

  • Be responsible for maintaining the business rules (and related documentation) that impact the finance attributes within SAP master data

  • Support NPI discussions

  • Provide guidance to business partners/stakeholder

  • Participate in review/approval meetings for new material creation

  • Perform routine oversight/audit/data integrity checks

  • Support cross-portfolio offerings and mappings between SAP and Oracle finance attributes

  • Involved in continuous process improvement

  • Prepare and provide ad-hoc information and analysis as and when required

  • Support systems updates and deployments as and when required


Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business, emphasis in Accounting/Systems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access & PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of SAP product master data and EMC SAP design is preferred
  • Project management and coordination skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Results oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team player
