The Senior Consultant for Office 365 Cloud Security position works on projects for large enterprise customers and interacts with customer, project managers and peers to collect requirements, design, construct and test Office 365 security feature sets and their integration with existing on-premise components. Secondary skills should include knowledge of 3rd party tool capabilities to be implemented in lieu of or integrated with Office 365 security features. Project deliverables typically include: requirements spec, impact assessment, design, test plans, migration approach and installation artifacts. Candidate must be able to support the identification of projects issues, risks and dependencies. Training, mentorship and other growth opportunities are a regular part of this role. Excellent documentation, presentation and communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities: The Senior Consultant for Office 365 Cloud Security will provide subject matter expertise in support of security components within the Office 365. To support this requirement, the role requires strong knowledge and expertise with designing, implementing, and supporting the following technologies:

  • Office 365 Tenant configuration
    • Hybrid Modern Authentication
    • Hybrid Domain Join
    • Conditional Access (CA)
    • Seamless Single Sign-On
  • Azure Active Directory (AAD) and AAD Connect
    • Password Hash sync
    • Pass Through Authentication
  • Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS)
    • Including claims-based authentication
  • Identity Protection
    • Privilege Identity Management (PIM)
    • Azure AD Identity Protection
    • Azure MFA
  • Office 365 Advance Threat Protection
  • Security and Compliance Center
  • Office 365 DLP
  • Understanding of Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB)
    • Cloud Security App
    • 3rd Party solutions
  • Azure Key Vault, BYOK, and Customer Lockbox in Office 365
  • Office 365 eDiscovery & Advanced eDiscovery

Secondary Technologies include:

  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) & Mobile Application Management (MAM)
  • Exchange Online Protection
  • Office 365 Message Encryption (OME)
  • Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection suite (Azure and Defender)
  • Azure ATP (UEBA) and Advanced Threat Analytics
  • 3rd Party (e.g. Okta or Ping) Integration

Additional Experience:

Recent experience in consulting or working in enterprise customer, minimum of 8 years of experience

Minimum experience of 10k or 20k seat user environments (or larger)  

Preferred 5 years of experience with designing and implementing Office 365 skills listed as primary technologies

Knowledge of how to integrate ancillary security technologies with Office 365 security solutions

Ability to lead pre-sales discussions with technical teams including demonstration of Office 365 security technologies

Strong experience with the design of technical solutions including design workshops, presentation, candidate design, and detailed architecture documentation

Strong writing skills and demonstrated ability to document solutions and processes for the customer

Strong communication skills in working with the customer including oral and presentation skills

Strong knowledge, understanding and application of project management principles and project methodologies including ITSM implementation framework (or similar)

Ability to develop customer relationships, gain trust while building the Dell Technologies brand

Ability to solve complex technical problems

Current Microsoft Certifications required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
