Job Role and Responsibilities:

This intern will support the Americas VP Global and his Regional Directors for the Global Accounts team. This person will help build and execute the operating model for Global Accounts including duties that drive revenue opportunities with the Global reps such as managing Account Plans, Business Alignment Docs, e-value prompter execution, DT Select Alignment, etc.

The AMER Global Accounts Intern will be part of the Global Accounts Team. This is a significant and dynamic business with great complexity and opportunity given the high value and wide variety of business/IT maturity and potential of its customer base. 

The Global Accounts team is responsible for its sales potential through excellent operational and strategic support. This role will be cross functional in nature, and the individual will be responsible for a range of projects and day-to-day activities within the many business management functions, including: driving sales analytics; business intelligence and modeling; sales productivity; forecasting and funnel analysis; and field automation initiatives.

Responsibilities:
The AMER Global Accounts Intern will be directly responsible for one or two projects directly aimed at enhancing the productivity and sales support for the Global Accounts team, as well as involvement in the ongoing monthly/quarterly/bi-annual planning activities driven by the Global Accounts team, including many of the following:

  • Proactively and continuously identify business areas where improvements can be made resulting in measurable savings of time, effort, and money
  • Assist in all facets of sales planning, inclusive of regular updates to quotas, headcount, and sales plan
  • Assist with weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecast analysis and consolidation
  • Executive heatmap reporting, forecast preparation, etc.
  • Understand aspects of overall Dell Technologies business (not just one entity), as our organization is highly-matrixed
  • Generate weekly metric reports and provide analysis for the Global Accounts team to monitor performance across a range of key business drivers
  • Monitor territory account updates and ad-hoc requests
  • Develop comprehensive pipeline reporting tools
  • Provide recommendations based on data analysis, in support of key business decisions that impact the Field Operations

Required Skills:

  • Currently pursuing an MBA or BS/BA in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Liberal Arts, or equivalent
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills: must work well across Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and etc.
  • Work well in a global virtual environment that is fast-paced and constantly changing
  • Knowledge of the MS Office package: Excel, PowerPoint, & Word
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
  • Ability to drive results and manage multiple demands
  • MS Excel, Access, Oracle, or related systems and tools skills
