Multi-Cloud is becoming the new normal and our customers are interested in leveraging Global and European Service Provider to increase agility, reduce costs and gain global footprint.

We are hiring Cloud Solutions Architects to work with Enterprise and Commercial customers. The Specialist Architect will engage with customers to understand their business drivers, assess application portfolios, design reliable and cost-effective cloud native architectures.

As a Specialist Architect, you will partner with customers, Data Protection Solutions Sales and several other teams to create solutions that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of Backup as a service for example. In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers.

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. We are looking for candidates who are comfortable at the intersection of technology and business. The Specialist Architect is a very technical role - you must be broadly competent across many areas of technology (infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, application development, analytics) and deep in at least 2-3 of those areas. On the business side, the ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. The Specialist Architect will spend most of their day interacting with several customer stakeholders, including developers, team leads, engineering directors, and CxOs.

Security in the cloud is important, and consequently, a high-level understanding of key security concepts is a must for a Specialist Architect. So, a good knowledge of security concepts such as firewalls, endpoint, encryption, (…) are necessary.

The candidate will join team of 7 top expert at EMEA level and will have the privileges to touch variety of environments and customers.

Here are some other qualities we are looking for:

Enjoy working with enterprise customers. You will have a passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions for a diverse and challenging set of enterprise customers.

Have a strong understanding of large scale computing solutions. The ideal candidate will have past experience working as pre-sales experience. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class solutions-built Dell EMC offerings.


As a key member of the Specialist Architect Team and sales team, ensure success in building and designing the right solutions based on VMware Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google Platform Cloud and others.

Educate internally our sales forces on the value proposition of Cloud Providers and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud based on PowerProtect offering.

Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to presales and partners considering or already using our portfolio in the Cloud.

Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the Specialist Architect community

Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates

Act as a technical liaison between customers, engineering teams and support

  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions build on Global Cloud Providers (VMC, AWS, Azure, GPC, Others) in complex enterprise environments
  • Experience in presales and working with large customers
  • Equip and train the Enterprise sales organization on technology solutions and how to identify opportunities
  •  Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
  • Demonstrated thought leadership through publications and public speaking
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to right level conversations
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
  • Strong interpersonal, teaming, leadership, creativity, influencing, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills required
  • Ability to travel an average of 50% of the time

Technology Certifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands on experience in IT
  • Cloud Certification at AWS and/or Azure and/or GPC and/or VMC
  • Business understanding including costing, P&L and pricing
  • Must be fully knowledgeable and able to design, plan, and support deployment efforts around IT security solutions using one or more of the following technologies:
    • Networking
    • Data Center Infrastructure
    • Virtualization, Automation & Orchestration
    • Edge and Core Security
    • Mobility & End Point Management
    • Unified Collaboration
