Our field sales professionals rely on proactive technical support during the sales process – and our expert Systems Engineering team always steps up to the mark. We lead the development and implementation of complex and specialized products, applications, services and solutions. From delivering sales presentations and product demonstrations, to developing detailed installations or system integration plans, we ensure customers get the innovative, relevant, interoperable solutions they need.

Key Responsibilities

Owns overall channel sales strategy for Dell Technologies Compute solutions into both Commercial and Enterprise sectors, with close ties to the Dell Technologies Compute Support organization for technical sales support.
Develops and executes channel compute strategy and plan to exceed revenue and growth objectives ; Works off an overlay quota
Proactively identifies and solves customer business problems by providing subject matter expertise to create solutions
Recommends product and service configurations to assist with overall system design and integration
Maintains specialized knowledge of High Value Workloads and related requirements and supports highly complex opportunities
Engages End User sales teams and Workload Specialists teams to drive workload practice development and complex solution opportunities
Maintains a specialized technical knowledge of Compute products, policies and services
Executes channel demand generation activities to build and maintain pipeline
Refers leads beyond the scope of this job to others within the organization
Operates as the Compute subject matter expert and project / initiative leader and collaborates with other product specialists / cross functional technical groups
Leverages third party/channel expertise to position the overall value of our solution
Customarily and regularly engaged at customer/client facilities and delivers high impact presentations leveraging strong technical skills
Responsible for large deal progression & management

Essential Requirements

  • Expert knowledge and experience of the Server and HCI market
  • Able to articulate and present Dell server strategy up to and including C-Level and build influence.
  • Understands the competitive landscape and Dell advantages in the compute space ; Analyzes and applies industry, competitor and market knowledge to present the positive value of our solutions ​
  • Strong channel experience and relationships
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel frequently across the UK & Ireland region

Desirable Requirements

  • High level of knowledge on virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMWare VCP or equivalent).
  • Holds Dell Technical Architect level certifications or equivalent
  • Prior experience of working in overlay teams
  • 5-7 years experience in related technical roles
