Event Marcom Manager

RSA is seeking a highly motivated, Event Marcom Manager to help manage RSA’s presence at strategic industry events as well as RSA customer events. This position is responsible for ensuring a cohesive event strategy and user experience that drives RSA vision and message in market. This role will include coordination of meetings, logistic planning, budget and vendor management, and on-site event management.  Additionally, this role will translate business objectives and strategies in to events that help drive the business forward. To achieve success, the candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute events that deepen engagement and understanding of RSA and its offerings
  • Drive cohesive event strategy working with cross-functional teams
  • Program manage all aspects of an event to ensure a successful, integrated and impactful outcome
  • Responsible for developing and delivering event within budget
  • Ensure KPIs are tracked and recommendations for continuous improvement are made
  • Identify opportunities to improve event delivery; developing new global engagement strategies.
  • Serve as a cross-functional project manager with other departments within the company.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and management
  • Solid understanding of multiple conference disciplines: especially marketing, social media, on-line communities, keynote production, registration and operations, venue selection and contract negotiation
  • Onsite management.  Full participation as event lead onsite, working collaboratively to ensure flawless execution.  Interface with event attendees (to understand their work environment and education/experience need).  Address event needs in real time.
  • Work with outside consultants as appropriate
  • Demonstrated success in partnering with sales organizations to achieve goals
  • Bring together cross-functional teams to deliver all event-related tasks under tight deadlines, including event offers and promotions, email campaigns and landing pages, sales outreach and call downs, giveaways, and content development.
  • Facilitate timely lead processing and sales assignment within SFDC, measure event impact, and develop post event reports and insights. 
  • Direct pre-event operations including event staffing, speaker management, agendas, on-site needs, and sales preparation

Skill Requirements

  • Must have a solid understanding of event management and planning cadence.  Must have experience in managing conferences and/or user group meetings.
  • A desire for collecting, evaluating and interpreting data and measuring the performance of events
  • Capacity and desire to evaluate vendor providers on a regular basis
  • Good business and negotiation skills
  • Must be detailed and deadline oriented
  • Skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously.  Must be comfortable working on high-profile marketing activities and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate budgets and effectively manage expenses.
  • Experience with JiffleNow and Event Farm are a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 5-7+ years relevant experience
