- Focus is supporting Field VMW specialists and Core Sales and specialists in developing and closing ELA and non-ELA VMware opportunities.
- Identify and develop non-ELA VMWare/run-rate opportunities
- Drive demand generation on specific territory/program. Follow-up on inbound and outbound SFDC leads and convert to opportunities.
- Manage customer engagement with renewals to ensure cross-sell/ upsell and on-time renewal
- Manage end to end steps involved to quote and process orders and own deals to closure/ fulfillment /invoice. Coordinate activities with Dell EMC core and specialist sales, VMware sales specialists.
- Own the call and manage direct and channel-led VMware opportunities in Dell SFDC so region has an UpToDate and accurate direct and channel pipeline.
- Ensure that all direct VMWare deals are registered properly through Dell SFDC to VMWare. Train the Core and overlays sales teams on registration process
- Collaborate with eligible partners to close channel partner-initiated VMWare opportunities and adhere to the Dell EMC rules of engagement policies
- Complete VMW Sales certifications and Dell sales requirements per DTSU learning path
- Is up-to-date with all VMware product offerings, licensing models, promotions, and industry and vertical solutions
- Develop an understanding customer environments, technical requirements, competition, decision process and funding
- Requires sales and financial acumen to respond to customer financial/ sales needs
