IT Sourcing Advisor

Reporting to the SecureWorks Procurement Director, this position will support the IT and Engineering Teams in the source selection and procurement of third party products and services used to support our internal IT infrastructure. This role will leverage expertise from third party Procurement Consultants and partner with IT Leadership to identify and manage a commodity management plan that optimizes cost while enabling the team to deliver on performance and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • With limited supervision, provides project support, cost management and development support of IT commodity supplier strategy in partnership with IT business owners and 3rd party Procurement consultants.
  • Provides comprehensive supplier management (e.g. scorecards, regular business reviews, etc.)
  • Implements and ensures compliance with all relevant Procurement Policies and Procedures
  • Reports commodity and supplier performance & cost for executive review
  • Identifies opportunities for supplier rationalization and supply chain optimization and implements as appropriate

Essential Requirements

  • Strong writing, editing, issue management, strategic planning, relationship and consensus-building, problem-solving and oral/written presentation skills

  • Solid understanding of the principles of contract development and analysis

  • Analytic skills necessary create and analyze business cases and cost/benefit scenarios
  • Strong ethics and integrity
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills – create a vision and align others around it

Desirable Requirements

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience
