Role Overview

This is a high-visibility, and high-impact individual contributor position on the Secureworks Product Management team. In this position, you’ll own partnering with Secureworks’ Counter Threat Unit (CTUTM) to lead our Threat Intelligence technology roadmap. This requires an understanding of the needs of our clients, the needs of our business, and the competitive landscape. In this role, you will work collaboratively to drive strategy and planning to ensure that Secureworks is at the leading edge of threat research for key domains of concern to our customers. Your focus will be to work in collaboration with a cross functional team to develop a compelling vision for TI components, and to execute, measure, and adjust the strategy accordingly. This role requires experience in threat research. You will use customer input, CTU input, market research, product management discipline, and experience to define plans and requirements for Threat Intelligence components that make all Secureworks products and services highly competitive in the market.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with OCTO, CTU, Strategy, and Product teams, with input from analysts and customer research, to develop CTU research roadmap for emerging technologies
  • Responsibility for the expansion and optimization of the application of CTU Threat Intelligence throughout Secureworks’ product portfolio
  • Ensuring a consistent and optimized process for applying findings from Incident Response and consulting engagements to drive countermeasures, analytics and creation of TI reports
  • Establishing a program for delivering proof points on an ongoing basis around the quality and breadth of Secureworks’ TI
  • Working with Marketing on positioning our security intelligence expertise and experience as it relates to our customers, our partners and the security intel community
  • Establishing requirements for the development of future Threat Intel applications (e.g Searchable TI Portal)
  • Working with third party Threat Intelligence aggregators to ensure optimization of our TI content within their solutions, where fits with strategy and customer demand
  • Managing relationships and maintaining an environment of transparency, accountability, and success with internal and external stakeholders and partners
  • Owning data-driven approach to reporting portfolio performance
  • Ensuring that enhancements are developed and operationalized to your satisfaction. You are the customer’s voice within the company
  • Become an authority on your markets and product / service areas
  • Evangelize your portfolio both internally and externally

Responsibility for TI related deliverables including, but not limited to:

  • Defining the set of human readable TI reports that are made available to our customers, including packaging, pricing, as applicable, including distribution mechanism
  • Maintaining TI products and features lifecycle, including the packaging, pricing (as applicable), and distribution methodology

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3 or more years as a Product Manager, or equivalent experience, specifically working with agile development
  • 7 or more years in the Security Industry, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of or experience with security threat research
  • A hunger for results and willingness to measure your own performance and the performance of your portfolio components critically
  • Ability to grasp complex issues to arrive at optimal solutions
  • Strong leadership skills – create/acquire a vision and align others around it
  • Management skills necessary to manage self and others to completion of initiatives, even when these others do not report to you
  • Analytic skills necessary create and analyze business cases and cost/benefit scenarios
  • Divergent thinking – connecting new ideas, concepts and information in unique and novel ways
  • Convergent actioning – taking the best of the divergent thinking output and being able to create something tangible
  • Influential communication skills necessary to reach a wide variety of perspectives represented by different, internal groups and that help drive decision-making
  • High-level technical understanding of security services and how they may be delivered
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Ability to work with diverse, remote and global teams
